    H22 Knock sensor error

I know you are supposed to only post cb7 related questions here but a friend of mine put a jdm h22a into his 92 prelude and is having a hell of a time getting rid of a knock sensor error.

So first of all he is not an expert and i have yet to look at the car; however, I have told him to do a lot of things to fix this and so far nothing has worked.

This is why I am asking for any additional suggestions.

The two error I have been told he is throwing are Egr and Knock.

On my suggestions he has tried:

1: Rewiring the knock sensor with a new ecu pin
2: Replacing the knock sensor (according to him it is oem honda)
3: Swapping for a different ecu
4: Checking timing (apparently done by someone else with a timing light)

The next thing I have suggested is making sure the plug going to the ecu is not messed up on D3

Like I said I have not looked at the car, but I will be looking at it sometime next week when I go home for Thanksgiving. I would like any additional suggestions form you guys.

    Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I forgot to mention this

He has also taken it to a few shops who have failed to fix the problem. (It should also be noted that very few people in billings MT actually know anything about this engine or the swap so I don't really count the shops opinions for much)
