Newbie questions on high KM stock f22ax

I have the stock f22a6 on my 91 with 280xxx km.
So what engine parts are most likey dieing? and that i can replace
    Cams?
Belts? ( i am seeing small cracks on one of the belts)
    Pullies?
    can i adject the vlaues?
grounding wires kit? ( i get shock everytime i get out of the car)

I am also thinking of turboing it too. (next yr)
O yeah the mod r intake, wires, plugs, cat.

    no. don't waste your money.

A turbo is a GREAT way to kill your motor in about another 5 miles.
You shouldn't replace the cams on a motor with that mileage. Won't do any good.

save for a motor with lesser mileage. Then start modding.

ps- DO A SEARCh for motor swaps.

        nope. NO good.

Besides, you could get a low mileae f22 a6 for the price of new cams!

Look into that option. Not quite as good as an h22, but better than an old motor.

          Sloblu so right ..

After over 185xxx on my old f22 which leaked thru every seal,
I found another one with *very* little miles on it ..
from a 92 that was crashed .. *the best* investment I've ever made for my CB7.

Do a *google* search for used CB7 motors .. go to ebay ..
call junkyards... you'll be suprised with what you come up with ..

          A Hui Hou !!!

              280,000 km = 173,000 miles.

Well, you still have like 75,000 miles left on this engine if it's in decent shape. We have two CB7s and they have or will make 250,000 miles (402,000 km) easy.

I agree with what the other two peole have said, to search for a lower mileage CB7 engine and to be honest it really don't matter which model because the differences are insignificant in my opinion. I have a project CB7 engine and it's the F22a1 (lowest HP engine of the 3...so what with the mods it will change). They all have the same block. Anyhow, I would spend some money and do a tune-up on your current engine to make sure it gets you a minimal of 75,000 more miles on it. This way you can research and find a good deal on a lower mileage engine, save money up for it and for modifications...meanwhile you are saving money by running your current car. You can also swap over ur current mods to the other car....save these parts...that saves you some money there.

For a tune-up on this car...I would make sure the following are in good condition, if not replace:

Spark plugs, spark plug wires, dist. cap & rotor (get from Honda dealer), timing belt & balancer belts, fuel filter, air filter, change all fluids (engine oil, trans. fluid, coolant). I would also do a brake check and replace what's necessary (pads, remanufactured brake master cylinder & calipers, badly rusted brake lines, etc). Check ur tire pressures & the spare in case u need it for emergency. Check your valve lash (0.010" on intake & 0.012" on exhaust).

Anyhow, good luck and keep us posted on your project when u get to that point. If you have any questions on maintaining your CB7 holla back, I've pretty much done it all.

                thx for the reply HondaFan81.
i have done most of the things u have said
all i need is timing belt & balancer belts, fuel filter, brake check and what r the valve lash (0.010" on intake & 0.012" on exhaust.

For fun do u think the motor can take 6 psi of dsm boost?
                mahahaah turbo f22a6
right now the engine don't leak or burn but loud ( short ram )

                  Valve lash adjustment/check:

                  set your valve lash to

0.010 inches on the intake valves

0.012 inches on the exhaust valves

Valve lash is the play between your valves in your cylinder head and the rocker arm the presses down on it.

In pic below, I put "here" where valve lash check would be.
