    block machine work

Ok, I've blown my ring lands and I need to get some new pistons. I don't want to throw the stockers back in so I'm probably going to be looking at some forged insides for my engine. I

I had a couple of questions that I know I've read in the past I just can't dig up the information specifics.

Here's my engine specifics, I'm running a F22B and boosting estimates around 8-12 psi.

Question #1:Can I bore out my stock block to 86 ish mm without problems from the sleeves?

Question 2: I remember that either hot tanking or sand blasting is not good for the aluminum blocks but I think I'm also getting it confused with bored out. What can't I do to the block in terms of machine work?

    Thanks.
Been a long time. Still alive...

Yes the stock sleeves can be bored to 86mm

Just have the machine shop clean the block which they probably will anyways if your having it bored out.

I recommend the bisi pistons as well! get them with the coatings they are worth the money!
