    Brake lights always on

this just started happening yesterday or at least to my knowledge.

for some odd reason my brake lights stay on. ive checked all the fuses. ive checked all the wiring. ive even checked to bulbs themselves. but they stay on all the time. even when i turn the car off they stay on. i dont know what to do. anyone have any suggestions?

There's a "button" on the back of the break pedal.
A rubber peice on the back of the brake pedal hit's the "button".
Over time the rubber piece deteriorates.
Lay down in the drivers side dash, and look up.
You should be able to find it.
I replaced mine with a bolt and nut.

By the way... as you can tell... it's VERY hard to explain.
If you look up there, you should see what I'm talking about.

Yea, there is a switch underneath the pedal...the tip is like plastic that the pedal pushes on, when that breaks the light stays on all the time. Its a easy repair if you are nimble. I'm a big mofo so being unside down under the dash wasnt comfy but I got it done.

I think its kinda sad even a mod doesn't use the search button.

But anyhow I'm glad you got it sorted out.
