taking the fuel rail off is pretty easy. You just open your gas cap, take off 3 nuts on top of the fuel rail assembly (10mm I think), disconnect the connector, and pull the assembly off. I think you just soak each connector in a capfull of cleaner. I sprayed mine with carb cleaner, they looked pretty clean when I did it.
