    power window issue, quick help

On this car im working on, the driver side power window goes down normal but struggles to come back up, is this a regulator issue, maybe some gunked up parts? maybe the switch?

i need a kinda quick answer since i dont have too much time, thanks

That's been happening to my own window. I'll be eventually checking it out, and here's what I plan on doing: think about the links of the "chain" in that situation. Troubleshoot from source to delivery here. Check current draw at the wires, friction wherever window meets weatherstripping and around regulator, and finally observe the motor and how it moves, if all of these checks come up alright. If the motor doesn't move quickly and in a smooth flow, you've probably got a "tired" window motor. After all, the cb7 is at least 16 years old at this point.

Check if the window is aligned properly, if it is cocked, then this would add more friction and overload the window regulator. If the window is aligned, it also helps to spray some silicone spray on the tracks to lubricate the rubber. Also, it could be the window regulator, as you stated that needs replacing. If the switch is the culprit, it would simply stop working.

I took the panel off, took the bag off the door, lubed the track and the channels it slides in and it was still struggling to come back up, im assuming the regulator is at fault.

edit:the window is aligned, seals all the way around

Exactly what I was thinking. I like replacing with new stuff. Makes me feel like I'm making a big difference and "restoring" this car.

.......still the problem about the classic Honda cancer all over my car, though...that's always the thing about our cars, isn't it?

heh, if you can get a hold of it. Tri-Flo works wonders.
