code 7

ok this is a code 7 on the tcm automatic. its either a code 1 and a code 7.
the reason i say it its because there is a very very fast blink and then followed by very short 6 blinks.
so can i get what code 7 and code 1 and 6 mean on a tcm automatic tranny.

i wish we had more references for auto tcms....look in the faq with the online manual..i think there is something somewhere in there for the TCU

That very short blink counts as the first one, so you do have a code 7.
Code 7 is a problem with Shift Solenoid A

so that is the top selenoid in the front of the tranny right???

make sure the connection is tight and clean, thats usually the issue...then if not then take it from there.

stock tcu from the ex. i need a ecu test harnes to check the selenoids for contunity. but who the fuck has one of those things at home. this sucks big time

yeah i really need that. i got the manal and everything it does its with the ecu test harnest conected to the tcm.

the problem persists. some times there is only 2nd gear and 4th one. sometimes only 1st gear and 3rd and 4th. wtf is going on

errr....my trans has been acting like thing on and off...usuallly when i just reset the ecu it goes away but i tried that today and its still there. anyways im gettin code 7...the car shifts from 1st to 3rd. i guess thats Soleniod A. is that the top solenoid or the bottom one? how much does a solenoid usually cost? are the 90-91 and 92-93 solenoids the same?

check honda delaer. but the thing is that it might not be the selenoids itself. jut a wire on the car chasi or the wire that goes to the tcm. that is why i am waiting for the guy to reply so i can do the test.
the online manual that i have just shows how to do the testing with th ecu test harnes.
