Main Bearing journal chipped

Ok, So, i live where this engine block is,

the center 3 journals are chipped, and they are selling it for 695 sleeved already, do you think these chips in the journals could effect the engine ?

that's very questionable...

you can either tig weld that, resurface the main cap surface and re-alignhone it. but running it as-is might lead to the bearing flexing back and forth at those cracked edges which in turn fuck with your clearances.

would i use it for a back up motor? probably...
yould i use it for my primary motor which im going to spend a couple thousand dollars in parts and labor? nope...id rather spend the extra 400 and get a block re-sleeved, decked and honed.
