    Driver door wont lock

Ok I found another gremlin wrong with my 500 dollar jewel. When the car is turned off and doors open the driver side door wont lock. Like the little knob wont go down. But when the car is on and the doors are closed the lock will go down. I cant figure out whats causing this and I dont wanna take out the door panel if I dont have to. Anybody have this problem or ever experienced it?

i don't know about sedans or wagons but on my coupe when the car is off and the door is open i can't lock it manually with the door open.

if i close it, it works.

Just wanted to let you know that you can lock that door without the key. Hold the inside door latch all the way out, and hit the lock tab down. It will lock all doors. I do it every time I leave the car!

That's what I was going to say. Hold the inside door handle as if you were opening the door, then hit the lock button. I believe it's a safety feature so you don't accidentally lock your keys in your car??

I haven't read the thread on wagons, but, I'm seeing a lot of differences between the coupe, sedan and wagons. Strange

yeah, It took me 6 yrs. to figure that out.

I thought it was just broken on all my Accords....

But yes. It is a "saftey feature".
