Speedometer Malfunctions

ok a couple of weeks ago i was on the interstate and my speed guage dropped to 0... jumped on the forum when i got home and i was told to replace my vss ..so i did...i even added a ground and nothing, it still did nothing...im getting the code 4 from the s light and 17 from the cel....my connection plug on the vss is getting power....im thinking the speedometer has a short of some sort.....if i could find the correct wire on the speedometer that goes to the vss ill just run a brand new wire thanks...

did you check the cluster to see if some sections are fried?

ok i fixed it the orange wire gion to the vss had broke so i ran a new one
