    belt replacement.

alright it has come time to replace one of my belts. not timing belt but another is making a squeling really loud. i am not sure wich one. it stops after engine is hot, and also happens worse when its raining. it squeels for about 10 mins until engine is hot, and is very very loud when its just started. but the belts seem dried out but i still cant figure out wich one is squeeling, i have not tried tightening them because i dont know how and i tried searching and found a couple things but didnt help. so what belts should i replace? a/c? i would like to replace both belts,(not timing as that was done last year). so what belts need replacing. i have never done a belt job so this is a first for me. thanks,

i think ill buy the alternator and power steering belts. thats the onlt 2 there right? because thealternator belt is alos the a/c belt am i wrong? how hard is it to replace these 2 belts? how much do they cost? and finally could i do this myself? i just dont know how to get them to the right tension. i dont want to put them to tight and snap them or too loose and have them slip. thanks. oh ya i will def be buying these because i noticed when i look in the grooves of the pulleys theres rubber, its like the belts grooves are stuck in the pulleys. so just let me know how difficult this is.thanks.

replacing those two belts are simple, all you have to do is relive the tension screw until you can push the alt and power str down far enough to were you can slip the belts off. When installing them jus think of a guitar string when you are putting the tension back on it just pic it and see how much it wobbles plus if its to loose youll here it squeal when you start your car then you know its to loose hope this helps you out
