    Air Resonator???

    1. What does #8 (air resonator) do in this picture?
    2. There's no need for it if I'm using an aftermarket intake right?
    3. If I were to get a cold air intake, would the filter go where this thing is?

    Thanks!

it just keeps the noise down when the car sucks in more air. There's even a valve in there thats supposed to do something but I took all that junk out when I put my CAI in. The filter has to go where that box is.

Yup that is useless with an aftermarket intake and in the way of a CAI. I'm gonna remove mine next time I take the bumper off.

Thanks guys. I was just going to edit my post to see what that valve does. I don't want to remove it, then the car run like ish. Started my wire tuck today and am seeing which components I need to relocate. Glad I can ditch this whole thing. Thanks again!
