    No Spark

Car will not start, cranks but won't turn over. The fuel pump primes, I am not getting spark though. I resoldered my main relay, replaced the ignitor, and replaced the coil. My plugs, wires, cap, and rotor were done in December. Now what?

hmm I just want to make sure. Are you getting spark at the coil? Did you pull the coil wire off the dizzy and check for spark that way? how are you checking for spark? Was the ignitor used? Make sure the coil is firing. If not you need to check the resistance on it at room temperature. Only other possible culprit if all other components including wiring are good would be the ecu. Also check the ecu fuses under the dash(and hood) and the ignition fuse under the hood. Its the 50amp one.

he hasnt checked for signal at the diz yet, only at wires.

he was testing for spark on block and vc and nothing...and its internal for those who dont know

ecu fuse he is checking tomorrow(shoulda been first!)

ecu is chipped so either the chip is toast(which i think it would still fire, just on the civic map) so maybe ecu is just gone, but doubtful.

jacob you better get that shit running today sir...

Yeah I've gone through that, I'm seriously stumped. It makes no sense to me at all.

I noticed the rotor wasn't even spinning.

Checked my timing belt and without even removing the covers there is about a hlaf of an inch of slack right in between the cam gears. I think i'm fucked. I know it didn't go out while the car was running thank God.

aww dood that doesn't sound good at all that the rotor doesn't spin.

let me know if you need a hand with anything. i'm on vacation this week so that's not good if between the both of us we don't have at least one running Accord.

oh dear. At least it sounds like you'll be ok if you just change the belt. + fingers

The belt is intact. The tensioner failed while the car was off. The intake cam gear is one or two teeth clockwise of the exhaust cam gear, or vice versa. Seems like I'll be ok after the t-belt job.
