    Car died again voltage problem?

Well I was driving back from work all was swell... and my LOW VOLTAGE came up on the radar detector. Every time i hit the brakes... i knew by that something is messed with my altenator. See right now my starter has shit the bed. Could this be why is happening? Also since i installed my Altenator a month ago its been sqweeling when i start it up. Its eaither from a lose or too tight belt.

Also once i got onthe highway i put my highbeams on and the car like shutoff and came back on. It was really weird.

It said 13.1-9 it kept jumping etc.

Then when i got back to my dorm i shut off car and now its dead. blah life sucks

First off, tighten down your belt. It sucks to try to tighten that belt but it has to be done.

Second, make sure your batt terminals are clean and good contact is being made.

Third, bump starting a car isnt going to affect the voltage.

    Now then,

when the detector comes on with its 'low voltage' notice, do you have the radio turned up, headlights on, a/c and defrost all going at once?

    Finally:

Are you sure you have all the bolts tightened down properly from when you recently replaced the alternator?

Today when i woke up it seemed to be find.. weird. I will try and tighten the belt today ive already replaced my battery terminals at least 3-4 times since ive had the car. They keep corroding and shit.

When the detector is on I have everything else off lights everything
and when i apply the brake it says it or if i do have my lights on they will dim alot.

It was scary though on the highway i put my highs on and the whole car jerked like it lost power
