    launch control?

so does anyone know anything about launch control Aka 'two step'.....teh reason being is my brothers new del sol seems to have it and he wants to take it off. ive heard that it can be done two ways by chipping the ecu and by messing with the wiring. can anyone help me out here?

Does he have a chipped ecu or some electrical device that doesn't look OEM?

Then it's probably not launch control. Does he have any check engine lights?

no, but now that i think about it might not have the light bulb into im have to check it first. now ive been told that it might be in "limp mode" does that mean that the motor is in bad shape?

Does he have a CEL light on? If he does it could be in limp mode. Limp mode is when the computer relizies there is something wrong with the car that could be potentially damaging to major components. And usually u get a cel light cuz of it. So it causes the car to, what they say, "LIMP" home so to speak.

i found out what it is. i finaly got to drive the car for real this time. now im sure its not a chipped ecu. in thinking the motor might be in "limp mode" like yall said and i also found out the guy who sold us the car took the check engine light out. so its throwing a water temp sensor code. not really sure if that would be causing it to do that. but thanks guys if yall have any suggetsion on what might be wrong hit me up i could use the h elp.
