    H22 Problem

My friend has a 93 prelude (260k mi. on car 60 on engine) with h22, n its been bugging the crap out of me.

It started bogging out, the car idles fine, vtec's fine boggs out in pre-VTEC range, any quick sugestions before i start tearing it up?

it only does it when its warmed up, its basically intermitten, its a fucking champ when its cold,
the funny thing is, the engine looks like it belongs there, every little thing is in place, did they have h22s in 93?(Edit, Alldata says the option is available from 93 up, idk about US tho)

well its not the fuel pump, fuel filter, or rotor cap and wires lol, its gotta be either electrical or a sensor

mine does the same thing , only occasionally, but i think my problem could be the fuel filter or my egr ports which i need to clean >_> since i am getting horrible MPg

it cant be the fuel filter, and it does it once in a while but its getting worse n worse, the egr actually wouldnt cause that problem, ive been surfing alldata, and it could be a ton of sensors(mostly on intake mani) but i dont have a multimeter for most of the procedures

I got two suggestions, if his is internal coil, check the coil to see if still okay. Those things are really weak compared to the external coils. Another thing you could do is, has the TPS sensor ever been messed w/? b/c that can cause those problems if adjusted incorrectly. It should be .5 at idle and 4.5v at WOT.

Mostly everywhere else except for the USA. Everywhere else that had RHD Hondas: Japan and Europe etc. Preludes had H22s as early as 1992. The CB7model started in 1989 and ended in 1992 in Japan. We were basically one year behind with certain Honda models. If you see a 1993 on Alldata, it's more likely talking about the 5th gen CD chassis.
