Does this look correct? H22 Timing...56k beware

I got the crank ligned up, but not too sure if the cams up arrows are suppose to be pointing uo in relation to the direction of the head or the ground. So I tried matching the 2 side marks. Does this look right? Also I have it really tight, there is no play in the belt at all...Should I leave it this tight or back it off a tad? Will it being too tight hurt anything?

dude, thats dead on, i dont understand why you would even be questioning that lol.

and about the tightness of the belt, let the tensioner set the tightness, dont do it yourself. that way theres no quesiton if its too tight or too loose.

I just dont want to throw the engine in the car(EG) and have to pull the entire motor to fix something lol. Thanks though.

And I think the belt may be a tad tight, I got a screw driver and pushed the tensioner up a bit

I think ill go ahead and go change it right now Thanks

thats like perfectly centered, good job also there should be about a finger or two worth of play in the belt

what tensioner do you have? a manual H23 one? or the Auto tensioner? I would swap to an h23 if you can, they're way more reliable

i agree with the manual tensioner ... but if you have to get a auto tensioner just get one from Honda.
