Need Help with ECU codes.

I hotwired the little connector at passanger side and turned the key to get the Check Engine Lght readings but nothing happened
my check engine light just satys on solid, no blinking, no turning off, just stays on. what does that mean? do i have a faulty ECU? it doesnt work on my car? HELP!!!

hey, if the check engine light doesnt blink or anything than i think that means nothing is wrong, but also i think it could mean you put the paperclip on the wrong side of the blue connector.....but yeah
