    O2 sensor dilema?!

ok so i got two headers for my car, one has the o2 sensor bung on the top half of the header and the other one (the better condition header) has the 02 sensor bung on the down pipe. my car currently has the 02 sensor on the top half of the manifold. i really wanna use the header and down pipe that has the down pipe sensor since it looks ten times better. my ? is, can i just extend the o2 sensor wires to put the sensor in the down pipe? or will this cause a check engine light to come on or to cause the car to run different due to different exhaust readings?

People who swap in the H22a just undo the wiring harness to let the o2 sensor wires go to the back of the block. But assuming your motor is still in your car thats going to be a little bit of a pain in the ass to do but thats just me. It could be the easiest thing in the world to do with out CBs. BUT if I were you, I would just extend them along to the back of the block with some tie wraps or something. And to keep from butchering connectors off your harness just go to the junker and chop off a connector from a o2 sensor and plug it into your harness and run your wires back there. Make sure you you also get the connector from the harness from the junk accord. Make sure your wire colors match up.

Will work flawlessly (when done right). Anyone who has done the A1/A6 to A4 mani swap would tell you. As shag mentioned just make sure the wires can't touch the down pipe and melt.
