ok well to keep it short i turn on my car to see that the brake lamp light in my speedo is on and wont come off...my ? is....why would that be on????

1. Leak in the braking system----->low fluid level in reservoir
2. Disproportionate pressure in the braking system (measured by a valve which I can't remember the name)
3. E-brake is engaged, or e-brake switch is malfunctioning
