    fuel pump fuses keep blowing

and its pissing me the fuck off i just changed the fuel pump, timing belt, dizzy cap, wires, valve adjustment today and i just went to take a drive and i drove about a mile then my car just shut off so i check and my fuel pump fuse was blown and i replace it and the second i turn my key my dash lights flicker reallly fast then i hear the fuse blow i know its probably a short in the wire but after i blew 2 fuses i put like 4 more in and they did the same thing

my question is has anyone had any similar problems and where should i look for the short at? where is the wires from the fuse box routed to the fuel pump?

    any help is appreciated

You will have to break out the test light and check for shorts. Do you know what the fuse number is?

Here's a wiring diagram to help with the diag.

If I had to guess, I would say the short is at the fuel pump connections. But that is just a guess. You're still going to have to diagnose.
