    Horn doesnt work

well i just finished putting my car back together and now the horn doesnt work and the cruise control button doesnt light up. Ive searched thru posts and none of those solutions worked for me.
I did a battery relocate to the trunk but im pretty sure that it isnt the problem. Everything is hooked up fine and the car is running.

    what could be the problem?
    - ive checked the fuses under the engine bay and the kick panel
    - i tested the horns to make sure they work
    - i no that the horns were working on the car when i bought it

any input is appreciated...need this working so i can safety it

      thats A Good one

can't think of any thing except the horn stopped working, or the fuse but you said you've checked the fuse.
have you checked the plug?..might be corroded(if its spelt right) or not connected fully.

      anyways good luck

for the cruise button, its prob. the bulb. Those tiny neowedge bulbs fail eventually even though they last a very long time. btw, your hazard switch is also supposed to light up red at night. I just discovered this after 4 yrs of owning my car lol.

so i picked up a circuit tester and checked for power in the connector for the horn but theres no power.
i checked the power on the horn fuse under the hood and there was power there.
I just want to check the power at the steering wheel harness now and see if i have anything there...

Remove front bumper cover and power the horns manually to see if they work, if some don't then replace. If some still don't work, then I would go to your steering wheel and push both sides to activate the horn. Do both sides work and make good contact to complete the circuit? If at your steering wheel things do not work properly, then remove it and take it apart. Make sure all 4 contact points work properly. Something could be broke or bent, not making contact inside. You'll understand how, when you get in there.

I actually have an OEM 90-93 Accord with cruise control steering wheel for sale if you need one, but shipping is probably more expensive to Canada. I'll do it if you pay.

horns are working...i wish that was the problem lol.
so i took apart the horn relay and checking contact for power. All seems good. When i jumper the blu/red wire to the black ground wire the horn goes off constant.

                So... -the horns are good.
                - the lines from the horn to the horn relay are good
                - the horn relays good

i am going to take apart the steering wheel and check the contact points there.

I also pulled out the actual horn buttons and checked for power there, but nothing

I'm going to assume you have a 9293 with my response, but it sounds like to cable reel is bad. Check for continuity across the cable reel from the horn and CC connectors on the steering wheel side to the corresponding pins on the ribbon cable....... if you have a 9091 disregard everything I said

is the cable reel the main source of power for the horn and the CC?
i took apart the wheel yday and took a look at it. Turns out all the reels for the airbag are cut up there not even connected.
also i checked for power on the actual shaft where the wheel bolts onto and theres no power there. Nor is there power on the actual horn buttons

I tried jumpering the horn wires @ the horn relay and now im not gettng power there again

I would say that is your problem...... or at least a majority of it. Replace the reel and if you still have issues, it should be easier to trouble shoot

what does that fat reel hook into? i checked the back of the steering wheel and it doesnt look like it has a connector, nor does the airbag. Anyhow im gona pick one up and try replacing it

I will leave the cruise control one as it is because im going to remove the CC
