    damn it, im so screwed!

it looks like my timing belt snaped last night, and the fucking worst shit is that i try to start it after it did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so that means bent valves and who knows what else my question is, can all this be fixed without having to pull the engine out ? and what should start considering to do first to fix this crappppppppppppppp!!!!

You're gonna have to remove the head and check for damage. As far as the head goes, it would probally be cheaper for you to swap on a low mileage, used head, versus rebuilding the old one. Be sure to check the top of the pistons for damage. Hopefully you will be alright. Or if you have around $700.00 you could buy a F22B DOHC and swap that beast in.

well if u were on low speen then probably u ok. if not then u know the deal. just do the timing and check for compresion. if everything is fine than u good to go. u gona feel it if u have a bend valve or anything else.

Yes..It fits perfectly. Check my thread in the "Swaps" section to learn more about it. Good luck finding just the head though..

dang man, im freeking sorry about the timing belt, mine snapped while i was driving, i was only oging about 30 mph, so nothing happened to my engine..i hope nothing happend to yours...but its probably easier to swap a new engine in then to try to change the timing belt. it was a bitch for me

Its a lot.lot.lot.lot easier to change the timing belt than swap motors. If you can't change a timing belt, you shouldn't try to swap your engine..

ive never actually done a timing belt while its in the car, but just from knowing how to do a belt and seeing how much room i have, i definately wouldnt want to do it while its in the car. swapping a motor is more work, but overall, i think it would be easier work.

Trust me guys, chagning the belt in the car isn't hard at all. Just put the car on jackstands, remove the tire, and axel, then remove the bolts holding in the driver's side motor mount, lower the engine slightly via a jack, and proceed with the timing belt job. Lowering the engine gives you all the room in the world you need. If you took it to a shop, that what they would do.

thats probably why shops charge like 600 bucks to change 90-93 accord timing belts.

im shittin my pants, i hope i didnt bend any valves!

well im just waiting for my friend so we can get this fixed this saturday. I laready bought the timing belt which was ultra cheap less than 20 dollars. would it be better to take off the snapped belt and pop in the new one and then to a compression test to see if there are any bent valves ? or should I take off the head and look for busted pistons and other stuff ? also what other things should I consider to change while im in there ... just to prevent further crap from falling apart! thanks for all the input guys without this site us cb7 owners would be fucked by mechanics ripping us off :P but it sucks to learn from experience. If my belt ever snaps again, trust me i`ll just cruise till i stop and try to start the damn car over and over like I did

hey man while your changing your timing belt change all your other belts also, also make sure you change your water pump also...those all go hand in hand when doing a timing belt job..you dont nessecarily have to change the other belts, but i would highly recommend changing your water pump though.
