drop tank??

what do I need to do to drop the gas tank and take out the fuel pump?

it's a 94 acord lx coupe if it makes a difference.

Fire ext. and a prayer lol. I thought for some reason you could acess it from up top from where the wires for the su goes in.

nope tried that it's not the pump.

serously help before I bust in there and start experimenting along the way.

unfortunately yes pita if your alone lol
not too hard though
1. disconnect the filler tube
2. prop the tank u with something a jack or somethin
3. take the 2 straps loose
4. remove pump...

not sure if there are other things to do but thats the bulk of it getting it back up is where its a pita. what is wrong with the car are u sure the pump is not working/ could be the main relay. check that first if you havent already...

dude I checked everything!!!! it's gotta be that I just know it... I put starter fluid in the intake and it would turn on for a bit and then shut off I changed the fuel filter while I was at it I checked to see if the line squirted fuel while it cranked and nope no squirt so if it's not the fuel pump I'm pretty much fucked cus I dunno what else it could be.

Check the main relay before you do anything else. You need a wire and two clips on each end. Not sure which ones you hook b/c I don't have my haynes manual but somebody should know on here. Maybe a tech will post up.

yeah trust us check the main relay. its notorious for goin out on these cars, and it controls the fuel pump turning on and off. so if thats bad you wont get any fuel squirt...

the main relay is the giant fuse right?? what if I had like a perfect functioning one and changed it out to see if it makes a difference??? cus everything else works

A reply blown? I never knew reply's could blow...

A relay is what your talking about. It is NOT like checking a fuse, you'll need a multimteer to test it. Or you can pull one fromt he wrecker if you want.

The main relay is located under the dash, on the driver side, its way up there, so make sure you have a long extention on your socket wrench, Its a 2 inch X1 inch box that should say MITSUBA on it. Grey or black in color

if you know anyone with a cb7 near you that runs ask to steal his for a sec just to check. trust me i thought my pump was bad befor i knew about the relay, changed my pump and think how i felt when the car still didnt start lol. i then did some research on here got a new relay threw it in and have been good eversince...

The main relay should make a noise when in the ''key on'' car off position from what I believe. I dont know how to test main relays but I do know how to test 4 prong relays and they make a buzzing noise when voltage is applied.
