    Help Me!!

Ok so i got my tranny fluid filled last week, not flushed i dont think.
Ok, so i went to NTB this morning cause they are nice to me and hook me up usually cause my passanger front side was knocking/clicking when turning etc.
So it turns out the axle, and everything with that needs replaced. It was the original one. I got the driver side replaced 2-3 weeks ago
Ok so the empty light comes on on the way home, but i figure i can make it, i know how much i have...i get off the highway without any problems, steering feels normal etc. I am sitting at the light right across from the gas station. When the light turns green, i hit the gas, it revs up high, i go no where. I put it in park, i hear grinding noise. I turn off the car, turn it back on, put it in drive, grinding. Nothing worked. I put it in park, i started roling backwards in park!
What happened? Any idea? My car know-it-all friend said it might of been something with the axle install.
maybe something with the tranny change last week?
I had to get it tow'd, and had to see my poor thermal one tip get a nasty scratch on it
before anyone says its the tranny thats shot, the tranny shifts smooth as butter. My 88 accord, and the lude both showed major tranny wear within the month of it going out, this doesn't just happen does it?

Thats all. Should hear whats wrong tomorrow or thursday.

Had to walk a few miles home then. All i wanted to see is my fogs when i got home, and they didn't come

Tranny fluid man.. if you have it in park and it rolls backwards.. you have NO fluid in there.

Since you say you hear a grinding noise, I suspect the axle popped out of the transmission. The grinding you hear is the axle splines rubbing against the spider gear where it popped out.

wait so your suggesting it was the new axle install job that caused this?

first check the fluid. how does it look.
          then check the axle.
then check the shifter cable. then the shifter assambly.

or better off get the online manual on top and see what it says for when the car moves back while in P etc. it will show u all the symptoms.
are we there yet are we there yet are we there yet

eh if the problem is what they think it is, its NTB's fault, and i will get them to pay for everything
