Hi i have a 1990 Accord DX, and I had the transmission replaced in it last week. I didnt tell them the Anti-theft Code for thae radio so when I got my car back I cranked it up and drove it home.~10 mi. I got home and cut on radio it asked for my code, I punched it in as usual. Listened to radio for about 10 min and got out. The next day my radio doesnt work. It wouldnt even cut on ut the Anti-THeft light was blinking ( stock radio BTW) . I took the radio out and took out the 10-cd change that was in the car. The 10-cd changer was wired into the fuse box ( the guy I bought the car from wasnt too bright IMHO). So the next day I goto leave for school and I have no instrument panel lights when I turn on my head lights. Went to school as usual and on the way home it was raining,, and I got pulled over. THe cop told me I had no tail lights, I had brake lights but no tail lights. So I went home, and waited on it to stop raining. Checked the fuses 2 blown so I thought YAY i fixe the problem...well replaced both with same type of fuses (same colors etc..) and still no instrument panel lights. And also now I've noticed that I dont have the *ding ding* thing go off when I have the headlights on when I take out the key. Please Help Anyhelp is much appreciated Im not very proficient at cars ... :/ thanks in Advance,

When you removed the radio and thge CD changer, you might have left some wires exposed and one of those wires is shorted to ground. Check the radio harness and check the wires where tyhe changer was.

the 10-cd changer was a 10-cd changer out of an Explorer (Rampage Audio). and it was hooked to bolt under seat ( ground) and 1 wire hoooked into fuse box. It also had a little reciever box that hooked up into the rado before the antenna so it was 10-cd changer->antenna->reciever->radio . and as I said a mina go it was a stock radio so only the wiring thing on the radio and the antenna plugin are int he car. I dont thinl that could ground it out, but Ill check tomorrow . Thankx in Advance, *Hope and pray it works *

hey man that *ding ding* fuse is located under dash on the drivers side, i think its the one that says ECU...maybe check that one..you said you replaced a couple fuses, i dont know if you were talking about that one or not, but just trying ot help

the ECU fuse is fine. I had to replace 2 10/red fuses that were burnt out. Thankx for the suggestions thought

oh yeah hey also...the insttument panel lights wont work, if the dimmer switch thing besides the steering wheel is not connected....do you know what thing im talking about? the little knob that you move to make the lights brighter or dimmer...check that out also

that fixed it! the dimmer switch being unplugged! THANKS SO MUCH! Someone at school was telling me that I had to replaced an ICU or something but thta fixed it! Thanks SOOOOO MUCH! I am forever in your debt 91AccordLX

lol If i was old enought to have a CC and register for PayPal I would hook ya up with 10 bucks BUT since I dont I cant, but ya saved me a lot I was gona take it to a shop this weekend If i didnt get it fixed since I had been trying since last week but that fixed it. Thanks Again
