    Need help!!!

Ok so the car starts, and I can drive for about a block then it dies. Has anyone had this problem or know what is happening? Any info is appreciated.

just a shot in the dark but..... maybe your plugs are misfiring..... try taking out the spark plugs and cleaning them or getting new ones...... or your fuel injectors may be dirty as well so its leaning out your car.....-justin-

does it just die all a sudden, does it kind of sputter to a stop? is the battery light on? when you are driving it for tha block is it non-responsive?

The battery light only comes on when it dies. Its like I will be driving in second then it just dies. Its pretty wack.

O yea and I just had to replace the ignition coil. And the battery posts are just fine.

certainly sounds like an alternator problem.....how long does your battery keep a charge? this is weird i think there has been like 5 people in the past week who are having problems with their alternator, including me.....but once again, for the third time i must suggest hitting your alternator with a blunt object, for instance, a hammer or a mallet..i knocked mine a few times and my battery light stays off, it has only came on like 3 times in the past week..try it

well damn, i didnt know your alternator was only 2 months old....if i was you i would check all your grounds from the battery...and make sure all the bolts on your alternator are nice and tight...i also once had a problem, my car all a sudden died, and i tightened a bolt on my alternator and it was fine...so in conclusion, check grounds and alternator bolts..

I figured i should add my alternator woes to the list. My alternator decited to bite the bullet, after months of the power steering pump pissing on it..... so i had to swap out the alt and ps. pump out of the gray car... to find that the previous "mechanic" dude that worked on my car before i owned it twisted a bolt off for the belt tentioner bracket for the alt and ac belt...yeah that was fun, but i drove around with a blinking batt. light for a good month till it started to be solid... good luck.

well the dude is like 17 or something his mommy baught him a 99 olds alero so the kid just wanted to get rid of it.... its got a busted winsheild too... the reason its broken is because the kid got pissed cuz he burnt the clutch out of it so he punched the winsheild twice.... o well $200 + like another $150 for a clutch kit so for $350 i got a perfectly running car... interrior is mint too... wrong color for my taste, but still excellent condition...found the silver one two days after i wrecked my gray one lucky find though.

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.
