    battery draining

Im tryin to figure out wtf is draining my battery. Battery is good, next morning, cant turn over.

Is that green halo light around the ignition normal to be on 24/7 even the car is off?

Where else should I look at? I have no alarm, no audio system.

I do believe the ignition light only lights up when the driver's door has been opened... at least thats what it's like for my moms 626 (I don't pay attention to my car anymore).

Might want to check to see if your door is being left ajar.

In my experience that light should only come on when you open the driver door. Maybe one of your door sensors went bad?

I ran into a problem where my alt wasnt charging enough. It was enough to let it run but once I cut it off it would be hard to start and sometimes not start at all.

Not being a dick but how do you know your battery is good?

          it could be the alternator...

i ran into the same problem a couple weeks ago. thought it was the battery but the guy who checked it said my alternator was shot. replaced it and had no probs after that. hope this helps out

did you clean both negitive and positive terminals. make sure you have a tight connection in your wires as well.
            hope it helps

ok... first of all there is one test that tells you what is draining the battery ,... that is called

              BATTERY DRAIN TEST

              Tools needed

Digital Mulitimeter with amperage metering capabilities
              Jumper wire
              Fuse puller

Here are the procedures for that ...

Drive car around for about 20 mins.
Park car and let sit for about 45 min.
Ok now hook up a jumper wire between the post and battery cable of the positive side of the battery
Now hook up the multimeter between the post and battery cable
Take battery cable off post with multimeter and jumper wire hooked up
              Now remove jumper wire
              Take multimeter reading
Should read less than 0.050 amps
If more than that .... start to pull fuses until the readings drop down to those specs...
Once that fuse is found ... look what it controls and go from there

if any more questions ... just google

              Battery Drain Test

... i tried to remember how this is done by memory ...

                  x2

you can also take your alternator to your local auto parts store and have it tested.
