    Car Won't Start! Help Please

Alright everyone, I picked up a '93 SE coupe. Everything was working fine, until today. I was going to disconnect the ABS unit (Yes, I know, not safe), and after I did, the car wouldn't start. It will start for like a second, then go dead, and the starter will just try to start the car and do nothing.

Here's the thing. The car has an OEM factory alarm system. I think I may have tripped the immobilizer when I unplugged the ABS unit. This is all just me guessing though.

If anyone else has an idea on the problem, let me know.

No ideas? The car will catch for like a half second, then after that the starter just tries.

    Anyone?

It can be your Main relay. ALmost everyone goes through this symptom since our cars are old. All you need to do is take out the main relay and resolder the joints. Search " Main Relay" and a Do it Yourself should show up. Hope this helps

If all else fails, checkup on the alarm, and or your fuel pump.

why not plug everything back in and see what happends.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

I agree with that, but also check all the battery connections, ecu connection, plug wires, make sure your fuses are in all the way, etc. I'm also an advocate of resoldering main relays, hell for the 15 minutes of work/contortionism, and probably one cent worth of solder it works like brand new.

That's a good idea. I'm going to have to check the main relay out. I thought it usually happened in very hot weather conditions though. Oh well, it can't hurt to check.

I already tried that. Still the same.
