    harmonic balancer came loose!!

i hope some one be able to diagnose this issue....well today i came out of work and close to ma crib i felt this weird nose which i thought was the exhaust i stop the car and open the hood to take a look when i saw the harmonic balancer (pulley) was off like moving side to side making that weird noise...is there a reason why this happen crank fukt up or anything.
im about to start my auto to manual swap tomorrow and this happens.......

    any input?

it could be as simple as the crank pulley bolt walked out. that would be ideal, because then you could just tighten it back in.

more than likely, it probably broke off, or stripped out, or the pulley itself broke, or any number of possibilities considering you havent even looked at it yet to give us any more information. it could be easy, or it could end up causing a huge headache.
