White smoke

so i was driving today and was slowing down, and neglected to select the lower gear when i started accelerating again, and when i did the engine kind of stumbled for a second like it does when your rpms are just a little too low, and i noticed some white smoke coming for the tailpipe for just a second, it came out when the engine was stumbling for that second. First time ever. What is that from?

i know what causes it, but why would it be happening at that moment on ly and never before and never after?

was it like white clouds, it could be a head gasket problem, doe it puff white smoke as it idles.

just a small amount, nothing thick, no puffs at idle.

As to why it happened at the moment and not before or after means you got a problem that is going to get worse

lame, but oh well. So besides head gasket, what else would do that.

possible water pump failure

water pump has less than 5k miles on it, and it's an oem one.
