    Getting retuned... your opinion needed

i just found out that the wideband might have been mafunctioning when i got tuned last week, so im getting retuned for free. how much of a difference would putting on a carsound highflow cat make? i do want peak power, but if itll affect it very little i would mind using it cause itll quite it down a bit. which ever path i choose, i have to keep it that way, since itll be specifcally tuned for that setup.

If your exhaust is basically a straight pipe right now then i'd say you'll lose like maybe 3-7whp somewhere in the high rpms but gain that much back in low-mid range torque. Getting the a/f perfect with a 13.5:1 or whatever mixture ur engine runs can result in up to about a 3% gain. Is this wideband a sniffer they stick up your tailpipe or is it plugged into the header?

its a sniffer in the tail... and if i can loose that much topend, i might stick without it. y torque curve was pretty damn straight, so if im makin 140-150 straight across, im fine with that. i know its a bad way to think about it, cause topend is nothing without midrange, but i want the peak 200hp... just to have it.

and again, im glad everyone is enjoying the chichi's

i'd say run it and find out. Your a/f ratio and timing isn't going to be affected much at all from just a cat
