Vtec choking in D3

Specs :

Accord Wagon 91
H22
At Tranny

My Vtec chokes when in D3

It's like switching on and off , what can it be?
I checked oil, air filter, ... help !!!!

could be bad connection inside the distributor. I had that happen on my H22 when I was auto. It was the crimps on the ignitor. They were just barely on there, not even tight. Make sure you also put some dielectric grease on all the sparkplug wire connections and any electrical connection in that area to rule it out.

bad plugs or wires could be the issue too as long as you are running thhe proper ECU/TCU. its something in your ignition system. unless the solenoid is bad which if it performs properly in the other gears then it could be the 3rd gear solenoid itself since its an auto.
