    distributor assembly..

researched and researched..i just wanna make sure...new plugs wires and ignition coil...as well as the cap and rotors...did the internal to external ignition coil conversion. after that it started...then the car died automaticly like i turned off the car...it this happens alot..after a few hours or the next day it would start...now it won't....

do you think its a bad distributor assembly?

I agree on the igniter unit being issue. However, I would not say that it is necessarily bad, but you may have ran wires for the internal to external conversion improperly. I would check and verify that first before spending any money, could be a free fix.

Chances are that if this same distributor did not have previous problems with igniter, that your wiring is not appropriate.
