Small Problem with Coolant on The Driveway ..

Well, atleast I hope it's a small problem.

I have a small inclined driveway, and I don't have any leaks, but I always look .. just the way I am.
However, the other day, I notice this small running stain .. "Is that mine?"

I run my fingers on it .. it's coolant ..
I pop my hood, look at my tranny, right below the hose that connects to the block,
and sure enough, it's wet .. I feel around under the hose, (top hose) and my fingers find it wet.

Grab a rag, wipe it off, and check my level .. seems fine .. it's not alot, just a small amount.
I drive away and return, but I park in a spot that if it does it again, I'll notice.
Sure enough, the next day .. there's a small spot, and under the hose is a small residue.

It won't leak after I wipe the bottom of the hose .. and .. it won't leak after I drive it
if I stand there and wait .. but, the next day .. there's that silly lil stain on the driveway ..

It's apparent that it's taking awhile to leak .. and, after I've driven it and parked it,
I can pop the hood and run a finger under the hose, and there isn't a drop to be found.

The hose is new, less then 2000 miles on it, and was bought at the stealership and,
it was properly installed .. WTF could this be? It's like it's built up some pressure after running,
and waits til I got to sleep or something to creep out. Once I wipe the bottom of the hose ..
I can leave it sitting for a whole day without running it .. and come back, and it's still dry.

It only happens after I've run it .. and, it waits til I'm safely away to trick me again ..

    Anyone ever experiance this?

    Thanks!
    Tomi

This has happened to me before, and the problem was actually the spring clamps on the hose. They were not clamping the hose tight enough, and once under pressure coolant would escape.

Rather than pressing it back together for a stronger grip, I bought a new pair of spring clamps. This solved my issue.
        My pictures/photos will return soon...

Yeah, I changed those commonly used spring clamps to the better c-clamps that screw down.
          They're tight too .. as I've checked that ..

Guess I'll just have to buy another hose .. man .. this one ain't all that old either ..

          sucks!

i don't like the factory hose clamps, i go for those that you need a phillips screw driver to tighten.
