Reason being on the wagon if there is rust at the wheel wells/ water leaking in it gets in the little compartment behind the light and well the wires for the light are very close to the bottom so when it fills up with water for years well all the wires corrode.
I figured this out and saw 3 tires all corroded from all the water. I cut the wires spliced new ones and ta-da working tail light.
Hope this helps out anyone that has this same problem as I know one of you had the same issue as me.
