    Suspension setup recommendations

Good day everyone. Need some ideas on a suspension setup for my 91EX. I'd like to have something that rides fairly smooth/soft, but will still increase my cornering ability. I'd like to lower it around 1.2" to 1.7" or so. My original idea was eibach pro-kit with Koni yellows or Bilsteins, then the Energy Suspension poly bushing kit. However, I'm starting to think this might be too stiff.

Any suggestions for a combonation? The car has 228k on it so I'm sure all the bushings need replacment.

NOT stiff is the goal here, but smooth/somewhat soft with tight handling.

    Thanks!

I would recommend Tein S-Tech springs. They ride great and will give you a drop 2 in the front and 1.7 in the rear. I had them on my car for a while and loved them. My car rode like a Caddy and still cornered pretty well. Lol! And its Tein!!! They make the best quality shit!! IMO Not too bad for 200 bucks either

What's the spring rate on those?

      What shock/strut are you using?

Get Koni Yellow struts for sure, they are the best strut for our car, and they have a lifetime warranty.

I would, but they are a bit pricey and I don't really need adjustability. I just want the car to ride smoothly and handle a little better. I'm not really looking for a stiff, bone breaking, bouncy ride.

Okay, buy cheap shocks and not have a good warranty, and hope they last you.

Why MUST someone purchase adjustables if they don't want or need them? I fail to see your logic. Why not the Koni Str.t's?

Str.t's are a great shock, if you care nothing about adjustability get them and be done with it. From the sound of it, it seems like they'd be perfect for you.

Agreed. This car is going to be more of a cruiser, run around, and have fun with kind of car. The main thing is COMFORT! I'll get some sway bars later on if I want to help keep it flat in turns along with some wider tires.

Would Poly bushings make the car ride too harsh or just tighten things up a bit?

And tirerack has them on sale for 25% off for $59.99 each. I have been debating wither or not to jump on these as well....

Well it does tighten up the ride considerably, but whether it would be too harsh for your tastes are completely based on your opinion. Some say it's too harsh while others say it's perfectly fine.

If I were you, I wouldn't do the bushings unless yours are seriously worn and causing problems. If they're still doing alright, just leave them be and see how the car does with just the other parts.

Hmmmm...Well the car has 228k on it. Maybe I should just replace the bushings w/ new rubber ones and call it a day. OR, use the poly bushings on the sway bar to help tighten things up in cornering?

Would this be a good idea?
