    problem while swappin out axle

so i tried to swap my axle out hella quicky sytle and i also managed to pop the lower ball joint out successfully. after removing the 17mm bolt and nut from the lower control arm and replacing the axle...i cant get the fork back to the lower control arm.

No matter how hard i push down on the control arm, i cant get the holes to line up. I even tried using a jack to jack up the fork (which is the one connected to the suspension)
i CANNOT get these holes to line up. is there any special way or you just have to use brute force? i spent 3 hours this one side and im already tired and frustrated.

This blows cuz my ass is wet because it started pouring in the middle of the DIY and i work for the next 4 days so any help would be appreciated.
    thanks

edit: what i can try and do is just take out the whole suspension, put back the lower ball joint and then treat it as a suspension install.
becuz a suspension install doesnt require one to take out the lowerball joint...and ive put eveerything back successfully when changing out my suspension

should be jsut one of those "pry like all hell" deals.....should be able to push lower control arm down almost far enough....the end of the bolt should be tapered on the end, so when u get it close to lined up....shove it in there and pound it in.....helps if you have more than two hands for this......get a bfp.....BIG FUCKING PRY-BAR

actually you do have to take it off to ge the shaft out, so yea.

losing weight doesnt help either, lol.

but i believe i firgured out the problem though.

Just remove the upper, that allows you to piviot the arm an nuckle enough to put out the axel. The fork we removed though, but can probably be done without removing it like fiz said.

you do NOT have to pull the "fork bolt" loose though, there is enough room to barely wiggle the axle out if you pull the tie rod and lower ball joint loose then spray some wd40 onto the rubber part of the axle......i've done it SO many times.....

and i didn't say to lose weight, i said get someone who can put some ASS into it......get you a fatty to lay on the lower control arm and it will bend down for you.....i'd send my 315lb dad up there, but he's slow
yea, i know you didnt tell me to lose weight, i lost like 10lbs and didnt eat one meal today because i was eager to get these axles done.

So it stopped pouring and decided to give her another shot, went out there, took out the shock/spring assembly, put back the lower ball joint...then the suspension.

this automatically made it about 1/2" closer (dont ask me why) so i was still trying to tug on this thing.

so i grabbed one of the small prybars and figured out a way to use leverage, busted out the 3' long prybar and shoved that bolt into the hole and went on my way. but then i lowered the car onto the tip of the prybar...lol, no noticable damage to the tire.

ill just do it the same way next time, i couldnt take off the tie rod...

                      Anyways...OFF TO THE NEXT SIDE!!!

Thanks for your help guys, really appreciate it.
                      i really love my cb7.
