To guys srs light no horn

It seems like I had a little mess up. Im not going to go into detail what happened since i feel stupid for it Ive figured out what the problem is and just have afew questions.

My horn does not work at all. And the srs light has turned on. I know its the clock spring. Im wondering how much does this cost to replace ??? This realy sucks and is there a better way to fix this and have the horn working again. I gotta pass the safety soon....

depends which you have...and the dealer here told me there's not way to tell until you take it out....hey prices came down! I need to get one too...my horn works...I have intermittent srs light in warm/hot weather. You could risk JY...might fix it...might not.

You know what also dosent work? Your cruise control

Im not sure of the pric for a cb7 but i know for a 6th gen ( 98-02 ) it was $40 through napa.

Just go to a junkyard and get one.

That is still way too much... Ill see what I can rig up to morrow for the horn but as far as the clock spring man fuck an airbag from the 90's. But yes thanks guys ill post pics of what cracks.

you're talking about a component that allows your horn, cruise, airbag to all work while the steering wheel turns over 360*, and brand new...for an airbag part...that's cheap.

              BTW...you could try a jy

I would discourage you from "rigging"...all you can do is hook up a button on the dash for your horn. It looks/is ghetto/trashy, plus, you lose your supplemental restraints...which have been proven to increase your likely hood of surviving a head on crash...it's not just a "looks" issue it's a major safety issue. It's such a simple fix, if a jy doesn't work you could save up.

yeah i didnt know that it messes up the cruise tho. hmmm. yeah i rigged it. its ghetto for now. ZZSoon ill use a prelude wheel I dont want airbags. remmber back in the late 90's air bags were actually killing people. hell just the other daymy friends cavalier hit a cart rack at the super 1 foods and a creep speed of no more than 5 miles and hour and the air bags deployed and fucked him up. but yeah I def should get rid of the ghtto horn and fiz the cruse.
