will 94 accord TCU work on 93 Accord?

well i was wondering if a tcu from the 94 accord would work and plug right up to my 93 accord?

the part number or model number of the 94 one that i was gonna buy is

28100-POH-A01 i cant really read it but yeah

Yes, it will work. The shift points will be slightly different, but it will work.

I'm not sure. The 5th gen's gearing isn't exactly the same as the CB's... it won't be so different that it will be bad.

yes...

I was using a 94 EX TCU in my old 92 EX.

worked fine...and it shifted a little higher than the old TCU. the resistors are better in the 5th gen TCU than the CB's TCU.

RPM shifts under WOT are higher....during normal driving...they are shorter. ( what it seemed to me )

well i got it today i actually got ALOT for 20 bux from a guy on craigslist.. 2 o2 sensors, ecu, tcu, progress lowering springs, all sensors in engine bay, alternator, AEM pulleys, and more lol

the TCU i got came from a 94 DX coupe and i have a 93 10th ann hope it works good.. thanks the info guys..

oh and how are the resistors better from 5th compared to 4th gen?

ok so i put the tcu from a 94 DX and now the D4 light is blinking.. what can it be? i havent test drove it yet maybe i will do that right now.. any input guys?

The blinking D4 is an error code. Pull the code, and it will tell you what the problem is.

the code was 13.. then i put the ecu and tcu from 94 dx and it wasnt running right.. so idk.. but is it bad to run with a code 13 cuz it seemed a little better at shifting

Why are you running the ECU from the 94?

no cuz the tcu was throwing code 13 and i heard something about the ecu having something that ran that code13 as in i heard a code 13 was that the 94 tcu and ecu have to be paired or something.. but i only put it in and started it then took out the ecu.. but is it bad to run the tcu while the d4 light is blinking?

Is the Code 13 an error code pulled from the CEL or the D4 light? If it's the CEL, it's an engine error code. That code is for the barometric pressure sensor, meaning your ECU is for a model sold in high altitidue locations. If it's the D4, then it's a TCU code, showing an error for "Main shaft speed pulse generator open or shorted."

These are CB codes, but they should be the same for the CD ECU and TCU that you're using.


The problem isn't "running the TCU with the D4 blinking"... the problem is running the car itself with whatever problem that D4 is alerting you to.
