    Possible fuel delivery issue?

Hey guys, yesterday I started noticing some power loss, excess noise (car sounds more like a Subaru than a Honda right now). I got home (was out of town for work) and it had gotten really bad. The lower the RPMs (below 2k) the louder it is, and the less power it has. Sometimes it clears up but it always shows back up when I let off the gas.

So far I've replaced the plug wires, plugs, fuel filter, and resoldered the main relay. I pulled the injectors out and found that the 'shroud' on one of the injectors (the end that injects into the cylinder) was cracked. Of course, I had to make it worse by dropping another one on the ground (fell out of my hand.. fml).

Fluids are fine, no exposed wires, ECU is good, PCV valve just replaced (though I am going to do that again). No vacuum leaks.

Ultimately, I'm thinking I got a tank of bad gas - or dirty gas. The fuel filter was releasing some dirty gas - next step is to pull the fuel pump and clean it out. Any other thoughts or ideas?

    Any ideas?

Have you inspected the IACV and the EGR ports/valve if they are clogged?

EGR valve and FITV are no longer in the picture. Thanks for info!

          Update:

Replaced two injectors with known good ones. No help. Rechecked seals, rechecked plugs. At first it was working but then it started doing the same thing it was before. I haven't removed the fuel pump yet - I don't think it's the culprit as I'm getting plenty of fuel (and it seems to be clean). I'll have to get out the seafoam. Maybe the gas is just shitty.

Any other help would be appreciated. I've been working to get this thing back up and running but I'm running out of ideas.

check the injecter resister box.it might not be sending enough ohms to the injecters.thus not alowing them to open all the way.

I haven't checked/replaced the resistor box yet but it seems to have improved slightly with some fuel stabilizer additive. I am resetting the ECU (again) presently. I'm fairly certain it's a problem with either an injector not opening up, one of the wires not sending power (could be dizzy) to fire, or something is stuck open (valve?).

It's not backfiring. It runs better above 2.5k rpm so I'm fairly certain it's NOT a timing issue. I will attempt to check the TPS and CPS, ignitor, coil and resistor box this morning. First I'm going to pull a wire and test for spark.

EDIT: I'm going to check the o2 sensor, as it looks like CEL criteria for OBD1 is almost null. I've never had a CEL so maybe resetting the ECU will throw the o2 CEL. Either way, it looks like I'm replacing it.

Checked the resistor box, all is fine. Popped open the dizzy (keep in mind it's less than 6 months old) and the rotor was slipping. Turns out it was rubbing on the shield (inner plastic cover). Took it out, and it's running perfectly. Crazy how dirty the fuel filter was, along with the broken injector and it still ran.

did you ever figure it out?

just searching around because i have a faulty injector myself, only on a D16.

hope you got it all sorted out. dizzy issue?

                  life is good.
