still need a distributor?

so my check engine has been on since i bought the car and when i go to check why is it on i get an 8 count and its some sensor in the distributor so do i have to buy a new one? and also it takes about 10 seconds to turn on because of the sensor

It'd be better to replace the distributor than try to replace the sensor, yes.

you should google eric the car guy and look for his distributor video
i think he has a you tube channel

he takes a Honda distributor apart and puts it back to geter again and shows you how to do it
