    Rack and Pinion bellow

    95 Honda Accord 4-cylinder MT

I just noticed that the bellow is busted on my drivers side. I also noticed that there is grease inside of the bellow. I just ordered a new bellow and clamp from Honda and was wondering if the bellow needs to be packed with lubricant OR would this be lubricant leaking from my rack and pinion.

Any suggestions or opinions would be helpful!
    Thanks

the purpose of that bellow is to keep dirt out. It doesn't have any grease packed inside of it. If you see grease then that means one of the seals on the R&P is leaking and will continue to leak until it gets worse. I tried putting a new bellows on mine and that lasted about 3 months then the rack started gushing fluid out.
