A6 TB & IM w/ H23 lower plenum swap info...

So, I just purchased a new manifold consisting of an A6 TB and upper plenum with a H23 lower plenum. Is ther anything different on the new manifold that I'll have to modify, besides the black box? Any tips/tricks to getting this to work the best? Any info would be helpful!

You really want a H23 tb and upper plenum.

Everything you have will work though with no mods needed...

I know. But this is what I've got coming. I know it's not exactly what I want, but it'll give me an improvement over what I've got right now. If anyone has what I need, let me know!

i think the egr connector is different.. other than that i think thats it.. are you going to use a heat shielding gasket?

Yeah I'm gonna order one from Bisi on Monday. The manifold I'm getting doesn't come with the EGR, so I'll have to use mine anyways. How would I wire in the black box? I figured a vac line, but what would you suggest?

i recommend putting silicon on the gasket.. i installed mine about two weeks ago(without silicon) and now i have a big vacuum leak.. for the black box i deleted the butterflies and double stacked it.. i believe there's a diy for it..

Will that work good on a motor with stock internals like mine?

I would deff run iab on a stock engine, the wiring isnt hard negative comes from pin a17 on the pt6 ecu and the other is a 12volt source

If you dont have the pt6 then just run the vacuum as normal and the iab will only open under hard acceleration

mine has stock internals and it pulls nice from 4000 all the way to 6000

Where would I hook up a vacuum?

Do you have the A6 motor in you car? If so then, you dont have to worry about wiring IABs because the A6 already has IABs. This would be a direct plug and play for a H23 plenum on a A6 motor.

No I've got an A1 motor.

I'd try to source an A6 camshaft, as well as a PT6 ECU and install these all at once along with your new manifold. This way you'll be able to wire up your IABs and get all the benefits of the A6 camshaft with the PT6 ECU.

Otherwise, yes just run the vacuum as normal and the IABs will open up during hard accelleration as stated before.

I'd definitely be trying to source that H23 TB as well man.

All right, but I still would like to know where I hook up the vacuum line? I'm planning on getting a Bisi stage 2 cam and cam gear, getting the head port matched and get everything dyno tuned. But for now, it'll help with what I currently have set up.
