d4 flash

i got a d4 flash on my dash car runs fine on first gear once it hits 2 or 3 n 4 gear it slows down i switch the AT unit box since its a common problem so i heard but still giving me the same problem is there and easy fix like a bad sensor or my (auto) transmission is giving up what else should i look for before i spend some serious money on it ???

That D4 is showing you an error code in the TCU. The TCU is functioning properly... that's what it's supposed to do.

Why does everyone always replace the TCU? That's like replacing your smoke detector because it beeped when you set the house on fire... put the damn fire out!
