    H2A5 Trranny issues...

Back in July I recently swapped my H23 transmission for an F22 Transmission I had lying around from my white CB that I used to have. I know the mount needs replaced as my engine is sitting crooked slightly in the bay, I haven't found a way to fix this issue yet (I need help with that one). My next thing is when I am driving and I lay into it, it doesn't seem to like high RPMS (roughly 7100~7600 RPMS) and seems to want to come out of gear. Upon upshifting it seems to grind a bit with the clutch fully depressed durring "spirited" driving. Durring idle I hear this weird light grinding sound until the clutch is depressed...

Honestly I think I need a new tranny or one out of an EX accord (I found out that the DX and LX tranny mounts are slightly different due to research) and place the H23 tranny back in my CB...

    Please help!!!

    TIA

I think the main difference between the H2U5 and your H2A5 is that the U5 had a spot on the transmission you could drill and tap which allowed you to move one of the studs over. When i converted to 5spd that is the transmission i used otherwise i could not use the ESP conversion mount and i also had to go out and look for the DX's rear engine mount.

    Gearing wise, they were similar.

    What mounts are you using?

What engine are you using? F22 don't make power above 5000-5500 RPMs so why are you revving that high?

To me this all sounds like a bad clutch disk so far.

do you remember tapping that most forward spot and moving a stud when using the F22 tranny?

That may have been what I missed...still doesn't explain the grinding noise thoough.
