    Code 9 and 14

Ok so I got a CEL and I got code 9 and 14, know what code 14 is and where IACV but code 9 is cylinder sensor where is it and what does it look like. I checked Google and AUtozone and Pepboys website and it does not show a cylinder sensor in there inventory. can any one tell me where to find this in my engine and what it looks like. Thanks

It's in the distributor. Your better off just buying a complete distributor.

Could I just replace the internals? The reason I ask is because I have some extra ones that I could swap out for now until maybe two weeks and I can buy a new one. What did you your cars do when the distributor was failing

You could just replace the internals, but it doesn't work out most of the time that's why I recommend replacing the entire dizzy.
As far as symptoms, sputtering, sudden loss of power or sudden acceleration, completely dead-no spark, irradic idle.

Yeah my car is sputtering and I rev it and it revs good but when it drops to 1000 to 2000 rpm it starts to hesitate or it just shuts off. I rest the ecu and the CEL did not come back on but it did the same thing. So can any one tell me how to change the dizzy is there a DIY some where for this? I can see 3 bolts do I just take those off and just twist and pull or what?

Mark off where your timing was at otherwise if you dont, then youll need a timing light. Yes, its just 3 bolts.

So just 3 botls and it comes right off, I read and some old threads that you had to put cylinder 1 TDC and then take it of or something like that but the thread I was reading only had like three responses so nobody clarified that. Is this true?
