code 41 - Oxygen sensor heater

can some one here please help me i would like to know how to fix this code, i have put a new NTK O2 sensor and i thought this will fix it but no luck i had to change the connector since the sensor came as male and the harness is male too, i use the old sensor connector cuz was female ... following me?
so now i still have the code and it says in the book Oxygen sensor heater

any input on this is greatly appreciated.. thanks!!

First, try clearing the ecu by pulling the ground terminal off of your battery for 5 min. The code should go away, if it doesn't you may have to check your wiring. Make sure you connected the correct wires. If it all checks out, you will have to go through the wiring harness and check for a shorted or cut wire for the o2 sensor heater. It's also possible that the o2 sensor you got had a bad heater.

does the position of the sensor make a difference? i swap the exhaust manifold for the EX so the sensor now is under the engine, sensor is new just bought it a week ago, i did the ecu reset too. also i did swap plugs/connector the LX accord on the harness for the o2 sensor in male and the o2 sensor (NTK)is male too so i couldn't connect ... could that lead to the issue?

also let me add that the car hesitates when running and feels like it chokes

So you spliced the wires? You may have altered the resistance, which would throw a code, and make the o2 sensor read improperly.

all the ecu checks for is a resistance range.

            yes i did....

i used the connector from the old O2 and put it on the harness and i did match the wires, one thing i notice is that the new o2 has grey/black on top and two whites on bottom and oem has green/white on top and two black on bottom i only did it on the harness tho not the NTK sensor.. is there a way i can fix this ? i thought about getting another harness then..... thanks for the reply's guys!!

I had that problem to awhile back, the 02 male/female plug problem. I was buying sensors for the eng I have and not the car. Cause the lude sensor is different from the accord. I should have been getting the sensor for the car and not the eng. Go back and ask to see a few sensors and get the one with the plug you need.
