What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

not taking it in just replacing the head gasket and hoping it lasts a few months until i can afford to pick up an h22 or do a g22 (living on student loans saving up to get an h).... i know its not the best idea but im broke as hell and would like the car to run so i can try and get it to pass smog to get my tags on it.... and it anit going to pass with a blown head gasket

ah. Brake cleaner. Maybe like amsoil power foam. Its a throttle body cleaner, so it has to be safe under there. If your by a local college they may hot tank it for you for almost nothing. Also a shop may not charge you much to hot tank it.

well the head bolts rounded out... so i cant get them out :/ a mechanic friend of mine said if the engine got hot enough to seize those bolts , that the head is most likely warped, and its got 300+ k and the bottom is not so great... i was just hoping a new head gasket and shit would help it with passing smog. but for now im looking for another motor for this one and i found another cb to buy

You can buy those bolt removers.

drill through the top of the bolts so the head of the bolts are not holding down the cylinder head anymore

this is what i had to do on one of my motors
