    IAB solenoids yellow/black wiring?

I'm doing the intake swap (f22a3) on this weekend. I'm a bit worried about the yellow/black wire going in to the IAB solenoid. I found one thread where was that you could connect it to any groundpoint in the engineroom. So i'm just checking is this right cause when I checked the wiring diagrams it shows that the wire goes through the main relay. And also it has 12v when key is in and the engine is not running. Don't want to split hairs here but this is my only car so I need to get this right at the first try.

Yellow/black goes to switched ignition (you can use any yel/blk in the engine harness to tap into). The solid black goes to the ecu.

So it doesn't work like said in this thread?

Does it really change anything, if it is used from a groundpoint instead from yel/blk? Don't want to splice any wires unless i have to. I've got the female connector for the solenoid and 2 wires coming from it. There probably isn't a free spot in the engineroom for the yel/blk wire? Sorry, but i'm not sure if I understood this right.

You need to hook the yel/blk to +12v the ecu supplies ground to the other wire when the proper rpm is reached. This wll complete the circuit to operate the buterflies. The yel/blk needs to be 12v switched.
